Ensuring your online business is successful will depend on how much information you find out about SEO. It may take you a little bit of time to find out all the information you need but while you are doing this there are also other ways that you can take advantage of the knowledge you have gained. While learning about search engine optimisation you could start writing about it too and by placing these articles on your blog you could be enticing another source of traffic to your website. You might get a boost from having this SEO information on your blog as there really seems to be a hunger for information of this kind on the internet. But there are a number of things you will have to be aware of if you are planning on doing this.

- Make sure that you separate your SEO advice from the other stuff on your blog unless your blog is about SEO anyway. The reason for this is the most successful blogs tend to focus on one topic. If you have SEO advice mixed in with your other posts it can confuse people. Just create a separate page for your SEO articles and keep them all there; you can have a link between the two pages for those that are interested.

- Make sure that your SEO advice is accurate. A lot of people on the web will know quite a bit about search engine optimisation. You may be queried on the advice you are giving and you could end up feeling embarrassed. If you are not sure about something you can still write about it but just be honest about admitting that you are not sure.

- You could always think about writing an SEO eBook all about your success if you website takes off; plenty of people will pay for this advice.

Think how good it would be to be able to sit at home every day without having to try to force your way through traffic and not having to answer to a boss every day. You would not have to ask anyone’s permission for anything as you would be your own boss. These are just some of the great benefits of working as a freelance SEO writer.

What Is Meant By SEO Writing?

Some website owners cannot look after their SEO needs because they simply do not have enough time to do it. They need content that takes advantage of all that SEO has to offer and will help their web site perform well. These people are willing to pay others to write this content for them and this is where the SEO writer comes in. These people know all the tricks of the trade and will be able to provide articles for the website owner that will exactly fit their needs.

Is SEO Writing For You?

There are many benefits to SEO writing but it is not a job which will suit everyone. It can be hard to find work that pays well initially and it does require plenty of hard work. It can take a long time to establish yourself, and until you do this finances might be very tight. You need to be very self motivated in order to become a successful SEO writer. There is no boss there to spur you own and if you don’t work you don’t get paid. Some people like the idea of working at home because it allows them to see more of their family; in reality it could mean seeing less of your family. SEO is hard work that involves long days and not much time off – especially in the beginning.

SEO Press Releases – What Are The Biggest Mistakes Which Are Made

June 17th, 2010 Bob B Taylor No comments

Most of the time, press releases using SEO elements do not work as well as they potentially could. Most SEO press releases just look like a bad advertisement and the only real reason for them being done in the first place is to appeal to the web crawlers. And if you attempt to put one of these SEO press releases out then it is very certain that it will not even be looked at by anyone in the media.

So When It Comes To SEO Press Releases, What Are The Biggest Mistakes?

If you put all your focus on keywords when writing these press releases rather than focusing on the content you will be making a major mistake. When it comes to SEO you must pay attention to keyword density but it has to be done in a way that makes the press release easy to understand for the reader. The reality is that if you write well you will often have your article keyword optimised without even trying; it is important to put quality above keywords.

Another mistake that people make with SEO press releases is that they fill it full of backlinks. To make matters even worse thee backlinks often have no connection to what has been written in the release. If you want your press release to have any chance of attracting media attention it is vital that these back links are always used with care and should be adding something to the content.

A lot of the time those who write these press releases do not make any attempt to ensure they are picked up by members of the media. The whole point of a press release is to ensure that it is seen by the media and they are not going to come looking for you.

It is possible to use SEO to benefit a press release but only when care is taken to do it right.

All website owners understand the advantages of getting SEO. There are many things a good SEO company can do for your site, including Article Marketing. There is no point in walking a lone furrow when it comes to SEO, so enlist the help of some experts. SEO isn’t the only thing you should think about though because, Web Hosting are vital as well.

Explaining SEO Copywriting

June 6th, 2010 Bob B Taylor No comments

The last few years has seen a big increase in demand for SEO copywriting. The main reason for this is because most website owners want their websites to do well in the search engines and SEO friendly articles is a great way of achieving this. Copywriting and SEO campaigns is like getting two things done at once.

SEO Articles/Blog Entries And SEO Copywriting What Is The Difference

To be quite honest a lot of SEO articles that are written are of very poor quality. Quite a high number will have grammatical and spelling mistakes and even worse is the fact that there is a high number of them which will be of absolutely no use to the reader as the content is so poor. These articles have been written for the search engine and not the reader; unfortunately it is the humans that end up reading them.

SEO Copywriting means writing articles to generate interest in a product or service while still trying to use SEO tactics. What you end up with are articles that performs well on the search engine and are also something that can help a reader find out more about a product. The person looking at this piece of copywriting might not feel convinced enough to make a purchase, but at least they won’t feel they have been tricked into reading unintelligible rubbish.

Lately more and more articles which are written are not done so purely for their SEO friendliness. Although you may have to pay slightly more for SEO copywriting, it may be worth it because it will help you to increase your sales. Poorly written SEO articles just makes a company look amateurish and possibly illegal. Even if you find that a search engine ranks your website highly in the beginning with these rubbish articles it will not last long and could have a really negative effect on your website in the long run. SEO copywriting really is the future of advertising on the web.

Everybody that owns a website is aware of the advantages of having SEO. SEO companies can help you with a variety of things, like Backlinks. Don’t play Russian roulette with your site, so get a good SEO company in to help. For all your web hosting reviews

Find some great use with PLR articles

February 23rd, 2010 Bob B Taylor No comments

Many people think when they are looking to build up links to their site that they have to write every article by hand and it needs to be original. With a website like Ezine or Qondio, or even Associated Content you will need to make sure you only submit original articles which are written by you. One aspect often overlooked is the huge variety or PLR articles available to jump start your writing. PLR stands for private label rights, and they allow you to republish them as you see fit and require no acknowledgement to the original author.

You can find PLR articles all over the net, some are offered for sale as a bundle, others you can get as a bonus for buying software or services, some you can get for free. Now, most of these will do you no good to just publish as is. They may have been utilized by thousands of other writers looking to get links to their site. Sometimes, they have never been used.  The ones that have very little use or never been used are great for rewriting andsubmission to an article directory.

What I usually do is to take the 2 sentences of the article and one at a time, paste them into Google and search, with quotes around the sentence so it has to be an exact match. If nothing comes up – Bingo! you now have something you can use with no rewriting, Google has no record of that article. If a bunch of entries come up, then you have a bit of rewriting to do. If a lot of results come on the screen, pass on that article and find another. The best thing is to rewrite each sentence one by one so you have a totally unique article based off the PLR article. Even with a good rewrite, its much, much faster often to do this than to come up with an original article which must be researched. If that was the result, most people would have no need for using PLR articles.

Where the use of PLR articles is most handy, is in the creation of niche sites, such as fly fishing, composting, glass blowing or other topic which interests you, but you are by no means an expert or may know nothing about. Another writer has allowed you a jump ahead with an article that you can then put your links into and publish, whether it needs rewriting or not. These types of articles are usually best published to secondary article directory sites, such as those powered by article friendly or article directory scripts. Article Friendly is a widely distributed article directory script that many people have purchased to run an article directory on their websites, they are easy to open an account at, and when you publish its live most of the time right away.

You will want to have a variety of account names and many different AF sites using various emails so that your publication of articles is mixed up and it does not look like the same person is publishing all the same articles on the same general topic. In the beginning, it will take some time to get your accounts all set up to use, but if you want there are always other tools to help speed up the process. That topic goes beyond the topic of this article, but I will write about it another time.

Maximize Benefits with an Article Directory

Article directory website provides valuable information for everyone free and easily at free of cost. The majority of these sites are organized by subjects, which gives users the ability  to locate exactly what they are seeking. If you click on a topic, for example “health and fitness”, the site will instantly yield many articles choices for you.” From there the article directory will often display a number of sub-subjects where you will likely find the specific article you are looking for.

Businesses

The use of article directories has evolved in to an efficient and cheap technique for businesses to get the word out on their products. As the majority of article directories let writers attach links on their articles, often the company hires writers to write an article series regarding their products and to give links to their sites. {This gives users of the article directory the ability to click on these links if they want more information about the product discussed in the article.} Many more companies are employing article writers, as the demand for article directories keeps expanding.

Writers

For writers, article directories may give a continuous income flow and the satisfaction of understanding you are assisting people with the information you give. The bonus is you will define your own hours from the comfort of your own home. Make sure articles that you submit to an article directory site are well written and thoroughly researched. So not only will you make some extra money, you will also end up learning something useful in the process.

If you decide that writing for an article directory is something you are interested in, the first thing you should do is take a look at a few sites and choose the one that best suits your needs. It is also important to locate a company that you can write the articles for. These companies usually search for quality writers on reputable freelance writing sites. Some of the articles you will be asked to author will involve the wonders of their products. However, many of these directories will indicate that these articles are not intended to be advertisements. The articles will then be submitted to an article directory for articles and these directories are giving users information instead of a commercial. Therefore, it is always a wise move to stay away from catchy slogans or marketing jargon and just explain the benefits of the product and in positive, not glowing terms in your web content.

Publish your articles to a directory to get great links

September 10th, 2009 Bob B Taylor No comments

A simple Google search of article directories will yield thousands of results. The most popular of these directories are Ezine and eHow. These sites offer users tens of thousands of informative articles that are free to access. Most directories are organized according to the subject material, which allows users to locate exactly what they are looking for.

Article directories are usually built in one of two methods: ordinary, informative articles or how to articles. How to articles show you how to finish a task with easy to understand directions. There are discourses addressing a wide range of subjects, including topics like reviving a dead battery in an auto to the creation of the ideal hamburger from a backyard barbecue. Most of these sites allow you to submit articles for free and only ask that they are competently researched and written.

Directories allow writers to include links to web sites that will provide interested users with additional information on whatever subject or product they are looking for. For example, when a user is searching for a nice vacuum cleaner for a cheap price the article usually will direct the user to links showcasing particular product websites that the article’s author either represents or personally likes to use.

Since their primary goal is to provide people with information, just about anyone can benefit from the use of an article directory. As stated earlier, the articles can range from light topics to extremely difficult ones. You can learn how to make egg salad or find out how to install a garbage disposal unit in your kitchen sink.

A quality article directory will often direct you to the article with the highest reader rating and most positive responses. In contrast, articles that readers find useless will frequently be illustrated at the last of the list. Each day millions of readers visit internet directories in order to find the answers to simple problems. Probably the most requested articles deal with home maintenance and repair. Usually, the instructional steps that are included with house items are very procedural and difficult to comprehend. While much of theweb content on directories are written in a more conversational style, which many readers find far easier to follow.

Get broad distribution with an article directory

September 10th, 2009 Bob B Taylor No comments

I was a struggling writer who’d been working on a novel for over a year. Don’t expect to make money as an unpublished authored when it comes to that novel you are working on. And with the bills piling up and the rent overdue by a week, I decided I’d have to take on second job. My foremost work is to take night classes in creative writing to low skilled workers at local community college.

I had just applied for a position in a bookstore when I learned about writing articles for online publication. I had never considered myself a journalist or an article writer, so I dismissed the suggestion out of hand. At least until he told me how much money could be made. He most certainly was not earning millions, but he was definitely earning  far more than I had any hope of earning at a bookstore. He indicated he was free to take on the task of authoring pieces, because his time was his own. The advantage of his job was not having to spend cash on gas or tolls, because he worked out of his own home.

Although I was a bit unsure, I gave it a go anyway. Truth be told, I was a tad scared in the beginning. I didn’t know if I’d be any good at it. I wasn’t sure I could write articles, as my expertise was in writing fiction. My friend impressed upon me how simple it was. He said all I had to do was create a writing resume and submit it to any one of a hundred freelance writing sites online. Companies created the article directory sites because they were looking for other people to write their articles for them.

Article directories are websites that gives users free access to insightful, informative articles. The person creating the articles will get guidance as to what topics to cover, which then get submitted to the article directory. If the article is accepted, the writer receives two back links, which he then connects to the website of the business he works for. The purpose of the article is to drive traffic of interested consumers directly to the business’s website, where they can then purchase products.

After I had landed my first client, I wrote ten articles on the best way to wax hardwood floors. My employer asked me to be as creative as possible, which gave me the ability to write in a style that was basically narrative fiction. When I had completed the web content, I submitted them to the article directory they had selected. While all of the articles were not accepted the first time out, the article directory gave me expert advice on how to improve my articles and give them just what they were looking for.

Instead of working at the bookstore to pay my bills I started working for an article directory. It even paid my rent. I was pleased that I sent my work to an article directory that provided helpful material at no cost.

Article Directories Help Amass Backlinks

June 26th, 2009 Bob B Taylor No comments

Once you set up your site, you need a plan of action to get your site noticed.  It does not matter if its a personal blog, a niche blog, e-commerce, or even an affiliate marketing site.  All of them go nowhere without traffic, whether you are looking to make money or not.  While there are many tools that “claim” to help you do just this, the simple fact is search engines are the largest single source of free traffic.  One of the best ways to move up your ranking in the seach engines is through writing articles and posting them to many types of an article directory.

To get decent results, you will need to create 20 to 40 unique and different articles about your niche. You want to cover all angles of your sites niche, and make sure you cover the top 5 to 7 keywords in your particular area. Do not make the mistake of trying to get ranked on too many keyword phrases all at once, you need to focus your energy and article writing on a few key ones until you start getting some traction.  Once you have your niche articles written, you will need to have a tool to help you spin the content.

For those of you new to SEO and website ranking stuff, spinning simply means that you have several variations of the same content so that you do not post 200 copies of the exact same text all over the web.  So for example, your sentence might be “The dog is brown”. If you wanted to change this around, you could also say almost the same thing with “The dog has black fur”. So the end result is almost the same, but its uses slightly different words. The reason for this is most of the search engines will impose a duplicate content penalty at some point, this is to keep someone from posting 10,000 copies of the same thing all at once all over the web to get links – essentially gaming the system.  Where this cutoff is, that is a gray area and protected by all the seach engines. In general, even with spinning, I try to never post more than 20 identical copies of the same article to sites on the web.

One great tool for distributing your articles and spinning the content is My Article Network.  You have access to over 10,000 blogs, covering thousands of unique IP addresses.  Its all automated once you add your content and use the simple tools to spin the article content. Another bonus is that its totally free for those looking for site content, and it automatically posts the content you approve. This is probably hands down the best tool I have ever used for article marketing, and its super easy to learn to use.
